David Dein has left, but....

Song of the day:
Linkin Park
"Pushing Me Away"

OMG.

A lot have happened in the last 24 hours.

Only this afternoon that I read about the Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood declaring that he and some other board of directors are hanging onto their shares.

But he also stated that David Dein wasn't with them.

David Dein

This means that David Dein wanted to be on Kroenke's side and supported the idea of the American takeover.

At that time, I thought that was pretty amusing, considering the fact that David Dein is a great supporter of the club.

But somehow, I realise a few things that have been going on with the club for a few years.

One, David Dein is the only person who does lots of things for Arsenal and football.

He is the one who brought Wenger to Arsenal.

He is the one who represented Arsenal in the FA.

He is the one who's responsible for so many of Wenger's transfers, i.e. Vieira, Campbell, Reyes etc.

Just to conclude, he is the only member of the Board of Director who really contributed a lot on and off the football field other than staying in his office or sitting in his executive box at any of Arsenal's stadium for a few decades.

Sigh.

Now he's gone, but many sides have speculated that David Dein WILL return in quick sucession.

David Dein IS a big fan of Arsenal.

And this is why he works his socks off for Arsenal.

There are speculations and rumours that David Dein WILL combine powers with Stanley Kroenke to launch a takeover of Arsenal.

If this is true, I want it to be fast rather than slow.

This kinda thing will bring instability to the club if it is prolonged.

And for the sake of the club, we need the goddamn funds to help Wenger buy big talents.

The funds that Wenger has at the moment is a combination of wages and transfer funds, which in my opinion, is definitely insufficient for Benitez, Ferguson and Mourinho in order to compete in the league.

But this is what Wenger has for so many years and yet he survived all these commercial and economic stupidity in football.

One cannot help but sympathize Wenger for his situation.

However, Wenger adapted to it and instead went for the "Grow Your Own Talent" method, which the fans have applauded for a few years running, but which is also fast gaining disapproval or frustration from the Arsenal fans.

It's been a while Wenger has brought in any wonderful BIG talents (mind you not wonderful young talents).

Fans have been waiting for players such as Ribery, Robinho or any other BIG talent but they are forced to wait until now.

Sigh...

Anyway, I'm somehow frustrated by the Arsenal board's inability to provide more funds to Wenger.

Stanley Kroenke

And that is why fans have slowly starting to support Kroenke's takeover.

If the American does takeover the club, I surely want David Dein to be the chairman of the club.

He's the most appropriate person to take the place!!!

I do believe that David Dein WILL come back.
